We invite you to visit RU BAC which is approximately 36 miles southwest of Roanoke and within easy driving distance of many mid-East Coast metropolitan areas. Richmond is only a three-and-a-half-hour drive, while Washington, D.C. and the Tidewater area are only about four-and-a-half hours away.

By Car: Non-local travelers
 From Interstate 81 South take Exit 109, turn right Route 177 (Tyler Avenue); from Interstate 81 North, take Exit 109, turn left, Route 177 (Tyler Avenue) and proceed approximately five miles to Jefferson St. – Radford at traffic signal. Turn right onto Jefferson St. and proceed downhill past Deli Mart. Turn left onto Fairfax St. 704 Fairfax is the second building on the right. Parking permit is required to park on campus.  Continue down Fairfax Street past the Post Office and Dalton Hall to Heth Hall.  The parking permit is obtained from the RU Parking Services on the main floor of Heth Hall which is located at the end of Fairfax St. in a parking circle (cul-de-sac).

By Car: Local travelers
Christiansburg area – Route 11 South into Radford to Jefferson St. – Radford at traffic signal.  Turn left onto Jefferson St. and proceed uphill to the stop sign at Fairfax St.  Turn right onto Fairfax St.  704 Fairfax is the second building on the right. Parking permit is required to park on campus.  Continue down Fairfax Street past the Post Office and Dalton Hall to Heth Hall.  The parking permit is obtained from the RU Parking Services on the main floor of Heth Hall which is located at the end of Fairfax St. in a parking circle (cul-de-sac).

Pulaski/Dublin area – Route 11 North past Route 114 and across Memorial Bridge over the New River to Main St. - Radford at traffic signal.  Turn left on Main Street Radford and follow through downtown Radford past Radford University to Jefferson St. – Radford at traffic signal.  Follow directions to 704 Fairfax St. as listed above.

Blacksburg – Either Route 114 from Route 460 to Fairlawn left onto Route 11 North -or- Prices Fork Road to right on Route 114 to Fairlawn and then Left onto Route 11 North.  Follow directions to 704 Fairfax St. as listed above.

Air:
Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) is the nearest major airport serving the New River Valley Region. ROA is approximately forty miles from Radford. Rental cars are available at the airport. From the airport to Radford take Interstate 581-North to Interstate 81-South and follow the directions above for non-local travelers. Advance reservations for limousine service to and from the airport may be made by calling Blacksburg Limousine Service at (540) 951-3973.

Other Regional Airports:
Several other airports are within driving distance of RU BAC. Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is two-and-a-half hours away in Charlotte, N.C., and Richmond International Airport is three-and-a-half hours away in Richmond, Va. Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia and Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C are four to four-and-a-half hours away.
